I purchased a last minute ticket to the Make Your Move Tour featuring Third Day and Matt Maher. What a concert! Both bands rocked out so hard. And the fans were loving it, packed from end to end. What a great atmosphere to be in!

It’s been a while since I have really taken out my camera, let alone to a concert or event. Given that this was a smaller venue than most and camera regulations were relaxed, I was able to take out one of my faster and larger camera lenses. Check it out below!

To see Rogers Arena packed with 18,000 people is hardly a rare sight. In fact, it happens atleast 41 days of each year. Imagine you are going to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals (I did!), the raw passion and emotion that fans have is incredible, maybe unimaginable? I mean, we are still talking about a hockey game. It should not have been surprising to see that same passion, emotion, and belief at Passion Vancouver this past Friday. We are talking about God, Jesus, our Saviour, the One who we strive to live our lives for. But as mentioned at the event, Vancouver has turned to become what people perceive as a new-age city. One where people do better for themselves rather than something more spiritually. Yoga, a great example, has taken a cult like culture within our city. But that one can be saved for another day/post. It was refreshing to see such a large group of people gathered together and for one belief, our God.

In a sense, this feeling is much about what the Passion World Tour stands for. Luke 7 was the main focus on Friday night. People in the town of Nain were left in awe after Jesus had revived this young man from the grave. And as such, the news of Jesus spread. Passion aims at bringing people together to worship our Creator. To show that, yes even in Vancouver, the kingdom of the Lord is filled and lively. Here people need not to think twice; feel embarrassed, or apprehensive of what they believe. But they can feel like they are in the house of the Lord elsewhere than just church on Sunday’s. Because once that belief is spread across one’s life then he or she will most certainly be in awe. Just like the people of Nain. And as a result, people will be full of the spirit, spread the great news, and live for hope to come.

Yeah, it was just such an amazing event. And I am very thankful that I was able to experience it with some of my best friends. It was such a blunt reminder that put everything into perspective. Because we can only see one arms length away from our vantage point. But it is that over arching view with which we need to believe and trust. I have been dwelling on the point that life is too short to be wrapped up in my own personal quarrels. I would rather not trample over another to get something I want. If something is meant to be then it will happen. That is out of my hands and certainly out of anyone else’s control. What really matters is the people we have around us and those relationships that we hold. Hold them tight.

It’s tough to say much else. Life is so precious. Make the best of it.

The Avengers, Coming May 2012

For the first time, I can proudly say that I held true to this goal. I was able to work through my task and see it to the end. And I feel really good about it. I feel like I succeeded. And finally because it has been a long time coming. A tough year and a half. Things haven’t looked as bright as they do today.

I know I’m being sort of vague about it. I wanted to share this but I’m not quite prepared to make it any more personal. No photo for this post, folks. It needs to stand alone.

This is one small victory with a long road ahead. I hope to share more of my goals as their relevance comes into play.
